About Me

I'm Bryan, I’m a Lancaster-based driving instructor, and I love helping people develop their skills and become safe, capable drivers.

Learning to drive is a big step towards your independence, and I’m here to make the journey enjoyable from your very first lesson. Whether you’re excited to get behind the wheel or feeling a little nervous, I’ll make sure you feel comfortable and supported.

Before becoming an instructor, I spent around 20 years as an HGV driver, giving me plenty of real-world driving experience and road knowledge. Driving instruction also runs in the family — my dad is a driving instructor, and teaching my own son to drive really inspired me to follow in his footsteps. He went on to pass his test with just one minor, which was a pretty proud moment!

I know that everyone learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit you. We’ll take things at a pace that works for you, with a friendly approach, plenty of patience and a bit of humour along the way. My aim is to make learning to drive something you enjoy, rather than something you dread.
 

For me, passing your test is just the beginning. I want you to leave your lessons with the skills and experience to handle the roads safely and feel comfortable driving on your own.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, walking the dog, going to concerts and escaping to the Lake District — although there’s usually a DIY job waiting for me when I get home!
